Hair was still being styled while Charli shared the room with the rest of the bridal party, each taking turns in the makeup chair. Holmes Mill’s bridal suite was buzzing, but somehow everything came together perfectly.

Meanwhile, Sam opened a card that said more than words ever could. The ceremony room was ready, with its restored mill floor, candlelit aisle and industrial character. The details were all there too, from the crystal heels and lace garter to the perfume, jewellery and soft blush flowers.

A hug from a friend, a scrapbook from the kids that brought pure joy, and Dad’s quiet smile when he saw his daughter in her dress made the morning unforgettable. Then it was simply time. Sam and his best man stood waiting as the ceremony was about to begin.
