Chevin Country House sits in the woods above Otley, and on the last Sunday of August it gave Chris and Mandy exactly what a wedding day needs: a lake, a lot of trees, and room for the day to unfold at its own pace.
The morning started with Chris getting ready. Cufflinks, buttonhole, the small details that suddenly matter more than they did the day before.
Then the first look. Chris and Mandy saw each other before the ceremony, and there's a kiss in there that rather gives the game away about how that went.
The flower girls led the way down the aisle. A reading, vows that clearly meant something, rings, and a first kiss as a married couple. The register was signed, and the confetti was waiting outside.
After that: champagne, a walk down to the lakeside terrace, a flower girl who had decided her dress was made for twirling, and Chris laughing like a man whose day had gone exactly to plan.
