Mytton Fold Hotel
Langho, Ribble Valley, Lancashire
A Ribble Valley wedding venue where characterful local stone, landscaped gardens and bright contemporary interiors all sit comfortably together.
A photographer’s guide to weddings at Mytton Fold Hotel — landscaped gardens, a characterful stone setting and bright, contemporary spaces in the heart of the Ribble Valley.
Character inside and out
Mytton Fold is one of those Ribble Valley venues where the old and new sit comfortably together. The original local-stone buildings give the place texture and character, while the refurbished interiors feel bright, clean and contemporary.
Ceremonies and celebrations
Couples can choose between indoor ceremony spaces or the garden pagoda. The Ribble Suite suits a more intimate ceremony, while the larger Abbey Suite gives you more room without losing the sense of occasion. The venue currently advertises ceremonies for up to 70 guests in the Ribble Suite and up to 180 in the Abbey Suite, wedding breakfasts for up to 180, evening celebrations for up to 250, and 34 en-suite bedrooms. Confirm final capacities and arrangements directly with the venue.
Photographs around Mytton Fold
The pagoda, pond, footbridge and landscaped gardens create a natural route through portraits without needing to disappear from the wedding for ages. There are wide countryside views, mature greenery, reflective water, stone walls, timber details and modern interiors within a compact area.
A strong wet-weather venue
If the weather turns, there are still strong options. Large windows, covered entrances, light interiors and the texture of the stone buildings mean rain does not have to stop the photographs. I would still build a little flexibility into the timeline so we can step outside quickly when the weather gives us a gap.
