The Out Barn
Waddington, near Clitheroe, Ribble Valley, Lancashire
A modern barn within a 17th-century shell on a 360-acre Ribble Valley estate.
The Out Barn is a striking blend of modern design and an original 17th-century stone hay barn, set in around 360 acres of private estate in the heart of the Ribble Valley. In an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, it enjoys breathtaking views of Pendle Hill and the surrounding countryside.
Three distinct spaces
The venue offers a tranquil retreat in the original stone barn with homegrown oak beams and handcrafted pine tables; a dramatic ceremony and dining area in the modern cedar-clad oval extension, with floor-to-ceiling windows framing the view; and a rustic bar with reclaimed timber and plenty of atmosphere.
A blank canvas
The Out Barn accommodates around 150 guests for the ceremony and dining, with a further 100 in the evening for a total of around 250. It is hired as a blank canvas, so couples can decorate and cater it exactly as they wish.
Exclusive use and Pendle views
Couples have exclusive use of the barn and surrounding grounds, with full coordination of the day from start to finish, all set against Pendle Hill and the protected landscape of the Ribble Valley.
