The Approach & Style
How would you describe your wedding photography style?

Purely documentary. I don't pose, I don't direct, and I don't build artificial moments. I am there to observe and capture the truth of your day. It’s about the quiet looks, the unscripted laughs, and the atmosphere that actually happened, not a manufactured version of it.

How do you help couples feel comfortable in front of the camera?

By being a calm, grounded presence. I’m not a directive photographer who 'takes charge.' I move slowly, speak quietly, and stay at the edges of the room. Most couples tell me after the wedding that they completely forgot I was there—and that’s exactly when the best, most comfortable shots happen.

Can we see a full wedding gallery?

Absolutely. Transparency is vital. You shouldn't just see a highlight reel. I am always happy to share a complete, real-world gallery from a recent wedding so you can see the consistency of the work across every lighting scenario—from morning prep to the low-light dance floor.

Logistics & Coverage
How many hours of wedding photography coverage do we actually need?

I provide 10 continuous hours as standard. This is the sweet spot for most weddings—it allows me to arrive for morning preparations and stay through until just after the first dance. It’s enough time to tell the full story without you ever feeling like we’re rushing or 'performing' for the camera.

Do we need a second photographer for our wedding?

For intimate weddings, one photographer is usually the perfect, low-impact choice. For larger weddings, or where you want both partners' preparations covered simultaneously, the 'Complete Story' duo option is highly recommended to capture the day from two parallel angles.

How many photos will we receive in our final gallery?

I don't shoot to hit a number; I shoot to tell the truth. However, most weddings result in a meticulously curated gallery of between 400 and 600 high-resolution images. Every image delivered has earned its place.

Do you travel outside the North West?

Absolutely. While I’m based in the North West, I cover weddings all over the UK and internationally. Travel and accommodation are discussed openly during our first conversation—I keep it straightforward with no surprise hidden costs.

How far in advance do we need to book you?

I only work with a small number of couples each year. Typically, my calendar fills up 12–18 months in advance, particularly for peak summer dates. If your date is open, I recommend having a conversation as soon as your venue is secured.

Have you ever shot at our venue before?

Over the last decade, I’ve shot at hundreds of venues across the North West. If I haven't been to yours, I treat it as a fresh canvas. I’ll often arrive early or visit ahead of time to scout the light and find the quiet corners that work best for my style. My experience means I can read any space instinctively.

Do you offer albums or engagement sessions?

Yes. While my core focus is digital storytelling, I believe there is something unshakeable about a physical, heirloom album. I offer a curated selection of fine-art albums and optional engagement sessions for those who want a trial run before the big day.

Process & Professionalism
How long does it take to receive our wedding photos?

I’ll send you a handful of 'previews' within the first few days so you have something beautiful to share immediately. Your full, private digital gallery will be delivered within six weeks.

What happens if you are ill on the day or equipment fails?

I am part of a trusted network of high-level professional photographers. In the extremely unlikely event I can’t attend, I will secure a replacement whose work I personally vouch for. Technique-wise, I shoot to dual card slots (instant backups) and carry three professional camera bodies to every wedding.

Are we allowed to print the photos ourselves?

Yes. You receive full personal usage and printing rights to your high-resolution digital gallery. You can print them, share them, and back them up as much as you like. No watermarks, no restrictions.

Will it be you shooting our wedding, or an associate?

It will always be me. You are booking my eye, my experience, and my calm presence. I don't have 'associates' and I never outsource the photography to anyone else.

Are your images watermarked?

No. Your final gallery is delivered in high resolution, entirely free of watermarks or branding. I want you to enjoy, share, and print your memories without any intrusive icons in the corner.

Do you have liability insurance?

Yes. I am a fully professional, registered business. I carry Public Liability and Professional Indemnity insurance—certificates are always available for your venue upon request.

Still have a specific question?

I'd rather have a proper conversation than send you a questionnaire. Let's talk about your day.
