Venues
Knowing a venue isn't about having been there. It's about knowing where the light goes at four o'clock in October, which corridor the confetti works in when it rains, and how long the walk to the good view really takes in a dress.
Cheshire
Manor houses, glass-walled barns, lawns that were designed with photographs in mind. Cheshire venues are polished — the skill is keeping the photographs human inside all that perfection, and letting the light and the day lead.
Lancashire
My home turf. Tithe barns in the Forest of Bowland, Georgian halls in the Ribble Valley, mill towns with more character per square mile than anywhere I work. Lancashire weddings have a warmth you can see in the photographs.
The Lake District
The most photogenic county in England, and the most weather-dependent — which is exactly why experience matters here. I know which fells hold the evening light, which lakesides stay sheltered, and what to do when the clouds come down. Spoiler: the photographs get better.
The first in-depth guides — Merrydale Manor, Browsholme Hall, Sandhole Oak Barn, Eaves Hall — are being written now, each one with the honest photographic detail you won't find in a venue brochure.
Getting married somewhere else?
Good. New venues are half the fun — and I scout every venue I haven't worked before your day, on my own time.
